The 3rd Edition of the Nigeria Content Investment Forum (NCIF) was held on Wednesday, May 3rd at the Houstonian Hotel in Houston Texas. The forum provided opportunity for local Nigerian Small Medium Enterprises visiting the city of Houston to meet and engage with International Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) from Houston and the surrounding areas.
NCIF was held during the annual Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) and involved collaboration from the Nigeria Content Development & Monitoring Board, Sweetcrude Reports and the Guardian. Guest speakers included Governor of Bayelsa State, Nigeria (Hon. Excellency Seriake Dickson), Houston City Council woman – Hon. Amanda K. Edwards, Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Content Monitoring Board (Simbi Kesiye Wabote), Chairman – NCIF Advisory Board (Fubara Anga), Managing Director – Bristow Helicopter Nigeria Limited Section (Akin Oni), Head of U.S. Commercial Services, US Embassy to Nigeria (Hon. Brent Omdahl), Chairman, PETAN (Bank-Anthony Okoroafor), Mrs. Pat Maseli (Head, Upstream Monitoring & Regulation – Nigeria Dept. of Petroleum Resources), Principal – ExWorks Capital (Mr. Gerry Paez) among others.
Attendees included the National President of Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce (Chief Olabintan Famutimi), Proofload (Services) Ltd (Mr. Anthony Eguando), among others. The Organizers at the event included but not limited to SweetCrude Reports Editor (Chuks Isiwu) and Linda Anukwuem. NCIF was moderated by Dr. Kim Odunlami.
