The Met Gala 2022 also known as the First Monday in May went down in the Metropolitan Museum on Monday evening with a lot of celebrities in attendance. The theme of the biggest fashion show was In America: An Anthology of Fashion. The guests were admonished to dress the part by projecting the 19^th Century Gilded Glamour and White Tie through a modern lens.

In the guest list was a category of 56 celebrities who made their debut appearance at the Met Gala 2022. In this category are few who showed they understood the theme and delivered accordingly, while many others appeared in off-theme outfits, a proof they did not carry out their research properly.

Among the latter category are these selected 10 celebrities who through their outfits have shown the Met Gala 2022 was their debut appearance.

1. Dove Cameron

This American actress was spotted in an alien-looking white dress that took about 600 hours to make. Was it worth the time though considering the fact that it ended up being not on the theme?

2. Jung Ho-Yeon

The “Squid Game” star arrived in a Louis Vuitton outfit she modeled for the designer. But isn’t that looking more like what will make a high-school cheerleading group?

3. Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian

The couple donned Thom Browne’s matching skirts. Well, we don’t know who inspired who between these two love birds here, but this was indeed a wrong inspiration. Obviously they “didn’t think about the Met Gala 2022 theme” as Kourtney disclosed to La La while being interviewed in the Red Carpet.

4. Bad Bunny

The Puerto Rican Rapper made his debut appearance in a seemingly Scooby doo coat by Burberry. Maybe, he could have just left the coat unbuttoned.

5. Daisy Edgar-Jones

We almost asked who had brought their assistant to the Met Gala 2022 when we spotted this actress. The dress code was “Gilded Glamour” for Pete’s sake! Edgar-Jones really needs to do better.

6. Louisa Jacobson

Wow! to think Louisa Jacobson was starred in HBO’s The Gilded Age is the more reason why she won’t be excused for this mistake in fashion. She had hinted to La La on the red carpet that she designed the outfit herself. Obviously, she didn’t carry the dress code along while projecting her skills.

7. Oscar Isaac

This American actor wore a dress to the Met Gala 2022?! Maybe the Gilded Age also witnessed the men putting on dresses.

8. Jenna Ortega

Ok, have you heard of the girl in pink? Yeah, she was spotted at the Met Gala 2022. Jenna made quite an appearance but obviously not the type we were looking forward to. Thank you!

9. Kelvin Harrison Jr.

Apparently, the Met Gala is a colour festival. If not, then Kelvin Harrison has debuted it as one. The actor had shown he was at the Met Gala 2022 to play hence his play on colour in his Prada. We appreciate his creativity but we think he could have done his research on the dress code properly before his unanimous decision.

10. Lila Moss

Can we applaud Lila Moss in her transparent nude Burberry? Thank you, Lila! But could you stick to the dress code next year? We’ll be looking forward to seeing more of you.
