Davido Offers University Scholarships to Ghanaian Student who Scored As in WAEC

Nigerian singer David Adeleke known simply as Davido has given a 5-year scholarship to Morro Suleyman, a Ghanaian student who scored all As in the 2021 WAEC Examination.
The DMW boss made the announcement via his Twitter account “We have contacted Suleyman and he has been given a full 4/5 year scholarship to Adeleke University”
The announcement came after a blog posted about Suleyman’s inability to further his education due to financial constraints despite his outstanding performance in the WAEC examination which pegged him as the best in his set.
An initial post has been made by a Tweep, Nana Yaw who solicited help for Suleyman to continue with his education to the university level while sharing his exceptional result, all AS.
Davido quoted the post pleading that the boy be found for him with a tweet which reads, “Who can please find this boy for me?”
The 30GB crooner received backlashes from tweeps following his tweet to locate the student but he was not going to bulge as he followed his requests with questions as to the whereabouts of his beneficiary.
He wrote, “Please locate him for me” and “Has he been found?” respectively.
As faith would have it, Davido announced a few hours later stating that the boy has been found while mentioning that he has been given a full scholarship to study at the Adeleke University. According to him, the scholarship covers Suleyman’s accommodation and feeding.
Unfortunately, this was not well-received by netizens as Davido’s act elicited a lot of reactions.
A tweep known for his controversial advice wrote, “ Davido well-done on helping Suleyman pursue his academic dream, hopefully he excels from here; But keep in mind that this doesn’t write-off the N20m debt u owe the public, & u have no justifiable reason why u are yet to fulfil the pledge u made. Don’t mess with people’s feelings.”
While another, @ doctorisonu wrote, “Davido you only picked interest in this boy because other people had already launched a search on him and he had become popular therefore we can conclude that you helped him for clout. There are many others like him in the streets. Learn to help people genuinely not for clout”
