Eulogies, Joy as Princess Jovita Bags a Doctorate Degree in USA

Everything with a start will surely have an end, they say. It becomes something of joy when it ends as planned. The joy of Princess Chief Dr. Jovita Chinenye Ike knows no bound when she bagged Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree from Chamberlain University.
The young Jovita wouldn’t know what holds the future when she was enrolled at L.A. Elementary School in Egberede Nguru in Imo State by her grandmother, late Mrs Janet Nworu. She later completed her secondary school education at Owerri Girls Secondary School, Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria.
The journey to Nursing career began in 1986 at Holy Rosary Hospital Emekukwu in Imo State wherefrom she got Diploma in Nursing in 1989.
In 1991, this epitome of beauty cum intelligence later attended Queen Elizabeth School of Midwifery now known as Federal Medical Centre in Abia State where she bagged double qualifications as Nurse/Midwife.
She worked briefly at Holy Trinity Hospital in Ikeja Lagos and later took the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) exam and was successful.
In 1994, luck smiled at her and later relocated to United States. Within two months of settlement, brilliant Dr. Chinenye challenged the NCLEX Board Exams and again it was a success.
Princess Chief Dr. Jovita Chinenye Ike, later, with the help of her husband; Chief Sir Oliver, enrolled in a bachelor’s program at Bovie State University, Bovie Maryland and graduated in December 2001 with a BSN degree.
Again, in 2012, she earned Master of Science in Nursing with an emphasis in Family Nurse Practitioner at the same university.
The dream of becoming a doctorate degree holder in the profession she so much hold in high esteem came to reality in 2020 at Chamberlain University.
Speaking to Excel Magazine International, Dr. Jovita said, “It was truly a privilege and honour to have attended Chamberlain University and obtained my Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree.
“I am so thrilled to have fulfilled that dream of attaining the highest educational level in the nursing profession and graduating with the highest honours.
“My educational journey was not a bed of roses, especially where I had to take care of my family as well as work full time.”
Chief Sir Oliver Udochi Ike, a supporting husband, who firmly believes there is no success without sacrifice eulogised the great academic feat of the apples of his eyes.
In a romantic cum amazing note to his darling go-getter wife and made available to Excel Magazine International, Oliver said: “When you started your academic career in United States, I believed in you, and you believed in yourself to be successful.
“With the provision of key resources, you went to Bowie University, you excellently earned your BSc Msc in Nursing in 2001 and 2012. And in 2020, you successfully earned DNP from the Chamberlain University School of Nursing.
“Honey, this was your dream become reality. I am happy to be a party to this success.”
