It is worthy of note that Kenneth Copeland had been previously married two times at a very young age of his life before he got married to Gloria Neece in 1962. At the time of their union, Kenneth was a 25-year-old Army veteran of the Korean War and a pilot while Gloria was a 19-year-old college student. The two had only dated for six months when they got married and have since then been an embodiment of love, purity, and the covenant of marriage. “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” Amos 3:3

According to Gloria, she saw light all around Kenneth when her father introduced them. She then presumed that he was standing in front of a window and only to find out after many years that the room had no window. It could be concluded that the light she has seen was God’s way of bringing them together and taking her through an extraordinary path that would soon germinate into a 60-year journey together in the covenant of God. Kenneth on the other hand recounted that at the time he met Gloria, he was going through a dark and lonely side. This hurt his view about love but meeting Gloria would convince him otherwise. He fell in love with her at the first sight and asked her to marry him on their first date. The rest, as they say, is history.

The Copeland’s love story is that which is intended to question the negative narratives about marriages. Though Kenneth had had two failed marriages, he got it all right the third time and this is a union that would birth a 60^th anniversary, even as they grow together in the word and in faith while blessing lives with their teachings and advancing the body of Christ.
