Requiem Mass Held in Honour of Dr. Ndubuisi Vincent Ahaghotu in USA

It was a moment of a misty farewell at the requiem mass held in honor of Dr. Ndubuisi Vincent Ahaghotu on Saturday, June 18 at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington, D.C.
A requiem mass, which is a funeral different from the regular funeral service, is often held in the Catholic Church in honor of a deceased.
The mass, officiated by Rev Canon Dr. John TW Harmon and Venerable Clinton Chukwuemeka Esonu, witnessed the presence of family and friends who had come from far and near to bid the deceased a final tribute.
Mr. Ndubuisi Vincent Ahaghotu was born on December 24, 1938, in Umuaghara, Onicha, Ezinihitte Mbaise in Imo State, Nigeria. He was the last child of a family of six.
Dr. Ndubuisi was a devout Christian and was committed to the work of God as a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church and other religious bodies, home and abroad until his death.
As an erudite scholar and a lover of knowledge, he committed the academic journey to his heart and saw it till the end. Despite not having a formal secondary school education, he earned his way to Howard University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.
He proceeded to obtain a Ph.D. in Economics from Howard University after several other certifications bagged in other institutions.
Dr. Ndubuisi spent most of his life propelling the wheel of education. He embraced a career in academia and lectured in notable universities and institutions in the United States.
Dr. Ndubuisi Vincent lived an exemplary life as a loving husband, a good father, and a doting grandfather.
At 83 years of astuteness and steadfastness, Ndubuisi Vincent Ahaghotu is survived by a wife, Mrs. Mmiriaku Ndubuisi, six children, a son-in-law, three daughters-in-law, twelve grandchildren; and many cousins, in-laws, nephews, and nieces.
