Welcome party for Princess Gilbert in Detroit Michigan USA
The Igbo community held a welcome party in observance of Princess Gilbert’s 60th birthday at the Igbo Center in Detroit Michigan on Friday, April 8, 2022. Community leaders and guests were treated to delicious dinner, drinks, and music (DJ).
The event included the traditional kola nut ceremony led by various Igbo leaders. The kola nut symbolizes peace, unity, reconciliation, integrity, life, fraternity, hospitality, goodwill, and kindness in Igbo land.
The highlight of the evening was the charming outpouring of love for Princess Gilbert who was showered with money and well wishes from the enthusiastic crowd.
