Woman Of Excellence, Dr. Mrs. Nwabukwu, Clocks 71
Founder of African Women’s Cancer Awareness Association, AWCAA, Chief Dr. Mrs. Ifeanyi Anne Nwabukwu, who celebrated on July 4th with the United States of America, recently clocked 71 years of age, and in celebrating this iconic woman of substance, the drums were rolled out in celebration of the multiple awards winner.
Leading the pack in celebrating a woman of many talents, among which was ensuring that African women suffering from cancer reduce drastically, if not contained totally, and many medical missions to the African continent, Excel Global Media Group Inc., USA, publisher of Excel Magazine International, wished her many more beautiful years in service of humanity.
Others who paid glowing tribute to the Nwabukwu matriarch include: Breast Care for Washington DC, one of the partners of AWCAA; Prince George’s County Government; the Enugu State Government from Nigeria, her home country; the Baltimore chapter of Anioma Association USA Inc, Washington DC; and the Embassy of Sierra Leone.
In attendance were representatives of the above named organisations and the National Association of Nigerian Nurses of North America.
In its letter of congratulations to Dr Nwabukwu, signed by its Chief of Mission, His Excellency, Ambassador SidiqueAbou-Bakarr Wai, the Sierra Leonean embassy said, “The African Women’s Cancer Awareness Association have been a good friend of the Sierra Leone community as far back as 2006, when you took your maiden visit to Sierra Leone. This friendship and working relationship continued up to 2021, when your organisation partnered with the embassy of Sierra Leone and Howard University in co-sponsoring a successful COVID-19 vaccination. We thank you and wish you continued service to the immigrant community in Washington DC metropolitan area.”
Another letter, signed by Prince George’s County Executive – Angela Alsobrooks, stated “This is an exciting day. May you fondly reflect upon all the wonderful years and events that have enriched and fulfilled your life. This is a tremendous milestone in your life, and I am Prince George’s Proud to wish you a Happy 71st Birthday. Please accept the enclosed certificate along with my best wishes on this marvelous and joyous occasion.”
In its own congratulatory message, the Enugu State government described Dr. Nwabukwu as “a shining beacon of light” who has “given so much to Enugu State, the United States and other continents from your various medical missions.”
In the congratulatory message, signed on behalf of the state government by the Special Adviser to the Enugu State governor on Diaspora Matters, Hon. Mrs. Olangwa Ezekwu Esq, the state government bestowed on the celebrant, the title of “Nwannedinamba 1 of Enugu State,” adding, “We are very proud of you and your selfless service to Enugu State. “Please, accept this honourary award on behalf of Enugu State Government. We wish God’s continuous protection, good health and happiness.”
The CEO of Excel Global Media Group, Boniface Ihiasota, who led the media organisation’s team to the event promised that details of the event will be published in the upcoming global edition of Excel Magazine International.
